Lebanese Rose and Orange Blossom Water
In Lebanon, they are drunk on their own, as a 'white tea', but these surprisingly flavoursome waters are amazing baking ingredients, too. Because they are distillates, rather than simple infusions, the flavour does not fade over time, so this will sit happily in your storecupboard for months, until you suddenly find you need to give a marinade a boost, or infuse an almond tart with a hint of fruit, or add a little to a fruit salad syrup.
